If you're playing mostly online, buy MS3 on Steam and don't look back. I don't have any experience with the PS3 or VC versions of MS3. Noticeable input delay, even when playing with someone in the same state on a wired connection (PS4 & PSTV). The PS4 version feels closest to the MVS/AES version, with slow-down in the right places and accurate sound. The Vita version feels too fast, similar to the iOS and Steam versions, but the sound is good. edit: NVM, the PSN store description still says it's cross-buy. I was shocked to find that SNK is trying to make $15 on each version of MS3 on PSN. 2 player co-op is possible, but it suffers from major input delay after bluetooth connecting two controllers to two different iOS devices and then connecting the iOS devices to each other (also via bluetooth). Though the sound is more closely emulated. It is missing slowdown that was present in the MVS/AES version. ![]() The Steam version and it are almost the same. The iOS version is also capable (as long as you have an MFi controller or iCade). Metal Slug is a series of run and gun video games first released on Neo-Geo arcade machines and game consoles created by SNK. Online play has been reworked a couple of times since its release on Steam and it is now a relatively stable experience. This may not matter if you aren't looking for an "arcade perfect" version. But it runs too smoothly and is missing slowdown in some areas. That's not to say that the game doesn't run well, because it does. The Steam version is pretty good, but there are some emulation issues. ![]()
